After School Enrichment Program

After School Enrichment Program

After school programming provides academic enrichment opportunities for children during non-school hours. CEA offers educators and students a broad array of enrichment activities that can compliment their regular academic programs, bringing different musical guests for custom-tailored programs. Students will be exposed to various genres of music and musicianship, and will be encouraged to participate in the presentation. Many of the attending musicians have worked with, or are touring with, nationally known acts. These artists are known locally, and often internationally, from stages, television, and/or radio (pretty cool stuff). Each artist brings a unique perspective, along with their musical talents, to share with students.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the target ages for this program?

The program is targeted to audiences ranging from grades K through 6.

How long is the performance?

The performance is approximately 45-55 minutes per assembly (we recommend allocating an hour).

Is the performance always the same?

The performance can vary depending on a number of factors such as season (and upcoming holidays), visiting artist(s) involved, and the school's particular needs.

How do I schedule a performance or obtain additional information?

Simply call us at (732) 233-9644 or use the Booking Inquiry form directly below this section.

How far in advance should we book a performance?

We book on a first-come, first-serve basis, and some schools book two years in advance. Therefore, we recommend that you contact us for available dates as soon as you know you want to book a performance.

Can the audience participate in the performance?

Absolutely; in fact, we consider the audience to be an important part of the performance! Our presentations are highly interactive, and we take the time to show the audience members their parts.

What should I, and my school, do in preparation for a performance?

We encourage you to create a buzz with your students and promote anticipation, which will make for a charged audience and a fun, successful presentation for all in attendance. If you or one of your school's educators have seen the performance in the past, give the students a review beforehand!

What can audience members expect to gain from this program?

Our first priority is always to educate. We believe that nothing ignites a student’s interest in history and America's rich landscape more effectively then songs and stories that bring past events stirringly back to life. The critical acclaim we receive from students and educators alike bear out that belief. But our presentations also promote social participation and... just plain fun!
