Children's Library Program

Children's Library Program

CEA's children's library program is a cowboy sing-along presentation that is suitable for all ages. This program is chocked full of fun facts about our nation's history, but it is so much fun that audiences may not even realize they're learning! We openly invite family attendance and audience participation; in fact, we consider the audience an integral part of the show. Our presentations have proven highly effective at engaging, educating, entertaining, and inspiring, and are critically acclaimed by students and educators alike.

"Ronnie wowed our audience with his musical talents and educative skills. We were so excited to host him at Monmouth County Library. He brought out the inner singin' cowboy in everyone! Would recommend him for audiences young and old."

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the target ages for this program?

The program is targeted to audiences ranging from pre-K to 6th grade; however, all ages enjoy the performance, and we do encourage family attendance.

How long is the performance?

The performance is approximately 45-55 minutes per assembly (we recommend allocating an hour).

Is the performance always the same?

The performance varies depending on a number of factors such as season (and upcoming holidays). Generally, it is a spontaneous, free-form dialog and playlist that cues off of the audience and encourages audience participation. Indeed, the audience plays a big, fun role as part of the performance.

How do I schedule a performance or obtain additional information?

Simply call us at (732) 233-9644 or use the Booking Inquiry form directly below this section.

How far in advance should we book a performance?

We book on a first-come, first-serve basis, and some institutions book two years in advance. Therefore, we recommend that you contact us for available dates as soon as you know you want to book a performance.

Can the audience participate in the performance?

Absolutely; in fact, we consider the audience to be an important part of the performance! Our presentations are highly interactive, and we take the time to show the audience members their parts to sing, clap, or dance along. We have songs for which we will ask for volunteers to join us in the performance area.

What should I, and my library do in preparation for a performance?

We encourage you to promote the performance at least a few days in advance through posters, newsletter circulation, and communication with schools or other institutions with students who would benefit. We also encourage family attendance.

What can audience members expect to gain from this program?

Our first priority is always to educate, or at least, to plant an educational seed that can sprout later. But our modus operandi is music, singing, and audience participation in a presentation that also promotes social participation and... just plain fun!
